How to Use Tulsi Leaves Tulsi Tea Boil 5–7 fresh or 1 tsp dried leaves in 2 cups water for 10 minutes. Strain, add honey or ginger if desired, and drink warm. Tulsi with Honey (for cough & cold) Crush 4–5 fresh leaves. Mix with 1 tsp honey and take once or twice daily. Tulsi Juice Blend a handful of fresh leaves with little water. Take 1–2 tsp juice on an empty stomach. Tulsi Steam Inhalation Add a few leaves to boiling water. Inhale the steam for relief from blocked nose and chest congestion. Tulsi Paste (for skin) Crush fresh leaves into a paste. Apply directly to acne, insect bites, or rashes. Mouth Rinse Boil tulsi leaves in water. Use the cooled water to rinse your mouth.
